Herbert Kaufman, a major figure in the field of Public Administration research, celebrated his 100th birthday on September 21, 2021. This collection of essays were offered to honor his contributions to the field. Besides helping to organize this effort with Donald Kettl, I contributed an essay with Norma Riccucci focusing on his classic study, The Forest Ranger.
